My Thoughts
I chose to make this page about some of the things in life that inspire me the most. The world offers us a wide variety of experiences and adventures that are all out there just waiting for us to decide to choose them. I am passionate about a few things in my life, including my family and friends, and of course, my four-legged furry family members. I enjoy metalsmithing, reading, and movies, just to name a few, but I am very passionate about getting out and exploring the world. It is fun to travel to places I have never been or revisiting places I love. I also enjoy just going out and exploring nature and all of its wonders that surround us.
We are very fortunate to live in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. This part of the country is breathtaking. There are so many unique and stunning places to visit and enjoy. I have assembled a few of my favorite ideas of things to explore. The pictures below link to a few websites that might help inspire you to take a journey and start a new adventure.
The Oregon Coast is one of the most beautiful places to visit. It has breath-taking vistas, trails, parks, dunes and beaches as well as a wonderful array of seafood to enjoy.
Getting close to nature is a wonderful way to unwind and rejuvenate ourselves. It can be a wonderful escape from the hustle of everyday turmoil. Oregon has great trails throughout the state that offer that opportunity.
Oregon has an abundance of waterfalls tucked away in hidden forests and others boldly displayed like Multnomah Falls. The serenity of sitting and enjoying the rhythm of the water cascading down is mesmerizing.
Being able to explore the world is something that anyone with the spirit of adventure should experience. It exposes you to different aspects of life and people. My opening quote expresses it well when it says that it adds to who we are.
I highly recommend taking a trip by train. I had the opportunity to travel across county by train on Amtrac's Empire Builder. The scenery, the train sounds, and the uniqueness of this type of journey should not be missed.
There are many ways to travel to places, and one of my favorites is by motorcycle. Riding the open road on a bike is freeing and exhilerating. This link takes you to my motorcycle hobby page.
